Decorating a Golf Table

Supplies

    Obtain a pair of old golf shoes. You will need two for a long table or just one shoe for a smaller table. Other supplies you will need include:

    * Oasis block (foam block for floral displays)
    * Silk flowers and greenery
    * Green floral wire
    * Green floral tape
    * Acrylic paints
    * Brushes
    * Spray sealer
    * Wire cutter
    * Indoor/Outdoor carpeting (2 oval pieces, green)
    * Golf tees (12, in colors to match the flowers)
    * Golf balls (6)

Preparation

    Wash and dry the golf shoes. Paint the shoes. It may take more than one coat to cover them completely. When the paint is dry, spray the shoes with a matte spray sealer. Tightly wrap wire around the bottom of the tees, leaving long wire stems. Wrap floral tape around the wire, pulling to stretch it as you go down the stem. Glue the six golf balls to the top of six of the wired tees.

Create

    Cut the oasis to fit tightly in each golf shoe. Cut and place the flowers in the oasis with the tallest flowers in the back at the heel. Place the teed golf balls (three per arrangement) and the rest of the tees, cutting the wire to place them at different heights. Fill in any holes with silk greenery.

Table Setting

    Place the green carpeting, one piece at each end for a large table, over a white or tan table cloth. Place the one shoe flower arrangement on each piece of carpet.
