DIY: Half Round Wedding Tables

DIY: Half Round Wedding Tables

Typically wedding tables are either round or banquet style; However, you may find a need to use half-round wedding tables at your wedding. Although these tables are typically used as presentation tables for place cards, the wedding cake or specialty drinks, they can also be used as tables for guests, depending on the reception room. Regardless of the function of the table, the unique table shape will need specialized decorations to help incorporate it appropriately into the decor of the wedding venue.

Instructions

    1

Drape a round tablecloth over the table. The back-side will hang longer than the front, so turn the table with the rounded end facing the room and the flat end facing the wall.

    2

Place a round doily or circular table runner at the edge and center of the table, so half of it drapes off the side of the flat end. Since a traditional table runner will not work on this style of table, a round accent will allow you to incorporate multiple layers and colors into the table decor.

    3

Complement the round shape by placing accents or decorations around the edge of the circular top linen, or around the outside, curved edge of the table. This can include anything from candles to bud vases, to loose gemstones and glitter -- all of which highlight the table's unique shape.

    4

Accent the shape of the table by winding a strand of white Christmas lights around the curved side, pinning them in place, or adhering them with white electrical tape. You can also sprinkle rose petals around the edge of the table, to call attention to its unique shape.

    5

Adhere flowers, real or silk, to the front. Use a piece of ribbon tied into a bow. Pin the bow with the flowers to the center edge of the tablecloth, to call attention to the center of the table.
