Kids want to do everything that they see their parents do. However, being significantly smaller than adults, they sometimes have a hard time working with adult sized furniture. One way that you can make kids' lives easier and more fun is to build them their own table set. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
Build a Child Sized Table
- 1
Measure and cut four planks with lengths of 36 inches a piece. Then cut three planks with lengths of 16 inches a piece. These will make up the top of your children's table.
2Layout the 36 inch planks so that they are configured as a table top. Then connect these planks together using the 16 inch planks and nails. Make sure the nails don't go all the way through the top planks.
3Cut out the legs of your table using a sheet of plywood. You will need two legs with dimensions of 16 inches by 36 inches. Attach the legs to the outside 16-inch connecting boards on the underside of the table top.
4Sand down the table, prime it and paint it using child friendly paint.
Construct Chairs

6Attach two 12-inch by 12-inch squares together to create an L shaped seat and support. Repeat the process fro chair number two.
7Nail the seat and support to the back board at a perpendicular angle so that the seats support is even with the bottom of the back board. When you look at the chair from the side it will look like a lowercase h. Repeat to finish chair number two.
